Resume Match Check FAQs

Short answers grouped by the decisions people usually make before applying.

Privacy and files

Questions about processing, storage, and supported uploads.

No. Resume Match Check uses rule-based matching signals from your resume and the job description. It does not use AI or paid APIs.

No. Uploaded resumes are temporary and are deleted after processing. The app does not use accounts or database resume storage.

Upload a PDF, DOCX, or TXT resume file up to 5 MB. For best results, use a text-based PDF or DOCX. Scanned or image-only resumes may not extract correctly.

Scores and guidance

How to interpret match scores and missing requirements.

No. Scores are guidance only. A strong score does not guarantee an interview, and a lower score does not always mean you are unqualified.

The score considers detected alignment across skills, responsibilities, experience, education, soft skills, and missing or underrepresented requirements in the supplied job description.

A requirement may be marked as missing when the resume text does not clearly include that keyword, phrase, tool, responsibility, credential, or related evidence.

Resume improvement

Ways to use the guidance without overstating your background.

No. Only add skills, tools, and experience that truthfully reflect your background. Use missing terms as prompts to clarify relevant experience, not to overstate qualifications.

Yes. You can run separate checks with different resume versions to compare how clearly each version aligns with the same job description.

Review mandatory requirements, licences, certifications, work authorization, location, experience level, and the practical gaps highlighted in your results.

Multi-job comparison

Comparing one resume against more than one opportunity.

Yes. You can compare up to 3 job descriptions and see which one is the strongest match for your current resume.
